Backing East Grinstead
by Fiona Humphreys
If you run a business in the East Grinstead area, consider the benefits that your local Business Association can offer you.
East Grinstead Business Association (EGBA) is a membership group that is open to all businesses in East Grinstead and the surrounding area. All companies are welcome, whether you are a big, small, retail, service, professional or manufacturing business.
Well-attended networking events are arranged every second Monday of each month from 6-8pm, plus monthly ‘Buzz’ meetings at members’ premises. Which gives them an opportunity to showcase their goods and services to other members.
There are many benefits of membership to EGBA, and our mission is to;
- Facilitate cooperation and new business links between members
- Increase work opportunities in the East Grinstead area
- Share important information from Town Council and District Council decision makers
- Promote member businesses and see increased sale of goods and services
- Support local schools, local charities, sports and recreational organisations in the area
- Share exclusive member offers within the network
We have strong and established relationships with Local and District councillors and the ability to voice concerns that you may have in a constructive and unified way.
A couple of our members have stated the following about being a part of EGBA. “We are long standing members of EGBA, which has benefitted our business in learning what is happening in the town, networking, visiting other member’s premises and regularly meeting councillors. “EGBA provides businesses with the opportunity to network informally and also is a forum for learning more about the town both from other members and from town and district councillors.”
Why not reach out to other businesses on your doorstep and receive their support?
EGBA was formed from the old Chamber of Commerce and Business Parks Association that merged 12 years ago. We are a not for profit organisation and have a committee made up of members and four officers, the committee consists of a voluntary CEO, Treasurer, Business Manager and a Marketing Administrator and the honorary Chairman is Sir Nicholas Soames. There are currently over 125 members across a variety of business sectors, and we are keen to grow the network for the good of this vibrant town and local residents.
