Beautiful And Bizarre Flowers On The South Downs

Above: “The Pride of Sussex”, the beautiful county flower of Sussex, the Round-headed Rampion, photographed by Peter Lovett, on the South Downs on Monday 29th July 2019.

And the bizarre tiny Dodder flower, a parasitic plant, which has no chlorophyll or green leaves and formed filamentous mats over its host plants in a meadow above Pyecombe, West Sussex.
