Dogs Trust Shoreham ‘Pawsome’ Fun Day Raises £14,000 for Homeless Hounds
Dogs Trust Shoreham hosted its ‘pawsome’ annual fun day at the Brighton Road rehoming centre on Sunday 28th May 2017, raising over £14,000 for homeless hounds.
The charity thanks its 3,500 supporters that attended the event and donated gifts and raffle prizes for the day. There are plenty of wagging tails at the rehoming centre as the huge sum raised helps the 60 dogs in its care.
Lisa Herbert, Supporter Relations Officer at Dogs Trust Shoreham, said: “Our fun day was a huge success and for that we thank our incredible supporters who helped us make the event bigger and better this year. It was such a fun day and we’re lucky that the weather was on our side! Thanks to the generosity from people and organisations across the county, we raised a whopping £14,000 with money still coming in. Everything that Dogs Trust achieves is because of the wonderful support we receive; enabling us to care for and re-home over 15,000 dogs a year and educate half a million school children and communities.”
Highlights on the day included a have-a-go agility, a grand raffle, a bouncy castle and children’s rides, giant tombola and games for all the family including four-legged friends who competed for their very own rosettes in the popular dog show.
