Kilimanjaro Challege – October 2019
by Mick Kirby
Jacqueline and I are raising funds for LimbPower and the Amputation Foundation as both of these charities make a real difference to the lives of amputees and have supported me.
This is going to be one of the hardest challenges we have taken on so we need you to get behind us and support us with training and fundraising.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
As a Stroke survivor and amputee, Uckfield resident Mick, 17 other amputees, Jackie and six supporters are taking on the Kilimanjaro challenge to raise funds for Amputation Foundation and Limbpower. These two charities provide crucial support for amputees and those with limb indifference.
In his spare time, Mick is a clay pigeon shooter, who used to shoot with his left arm, but now shoots with his right after a stroke in 2009. His left arm was amputated in 2015.
