Ladies Day Glamour At Plumpton Racecourse
Plumpton Racecourse enjoyed a successful ‘Ladies Day’ recently, featuring best dressed competitions and an array of entertainment. Aston Scales from Milton Keynes won first prize for best dressed lady, looking fabulous in a vintage 50’s style pale blue floral frock. Aston won a two night stay at the luxurious Buxted Park Hotel and £300 spending money. In second place was Maria Cheslin looking glam in a stunning floral hat, and Wendy Dicker came in third with her hot red matching dress and hatinator. John Bridger from Eastbourne won the best dressed gentleman competition, in a dashing and creative tweed/corduroy ensemble.
There was a plethora of activities to keep racegoers of all ages entertained throughout the day, which included an exhilarating seven race card of quality national hunt racing, traditional fun fair and live music. Emma Santer, Chief Executive of Plumpton Racecourse, commented “Our ladies day is always great fun, with lots of entertainment for everyone who attends. Ladies and chaps dressed to impress and we’d like to congratulate the winners of our competitions.”
