Local Fairs – May 2016

It’s time to get the bunting out, fire up the candy floss machine and dust down the coconut shy, because it’s time for the fair! Read on to find out what’s happening this May at your local fair.

Lions May Fair

  • Monday 2nd May, 10:00-4:00pm

You are welcome to come along to the East Grinstead and District Lions 38th annual May Fair in East Grinstead High Street. A fun day out for all the family, we also raise an incredible amount of money for all the charities we support, and the day offers other organisations who run stalls along the historic High Street the opportunity to recruit new volunteers. Including the East Grinstead Town Band, belly dancing display and marching band.

Hassocks May Day

  • Monday 2nd May, 12:00-4:00pm

You’re all welcome to celebrate May Day with us in Hassocks at Adastra Park. Be entertained by Maypole dancing and a drumming band. Bring your dogs to our Dog Show; £1 entry per class. Feast on BBQ, pizza, tea and cake. Try your hand at the scouts challenges and visit our numerous community stalls. St Catherine’s Hospice New Horizon’s Garden and Produce Fair

  • Thursday 19th May, 10:30-3:30pm

We are proud to announce a stunning new location of Cuckfield Park, Cuckfield, West Sussex, RH17 5AB. Specialist plants, gardening products and locally produced food. Advance tickets for the special bubbly breakfast and stall preview, ahead of general public entrance, from 08:30am, are just £12.50. General public entry £4 per person. All proceeds will go directly to St Catherine’s Hospice.

The Steyning Festival

  • Saturday 21st May to Sunday 5th June

With the theme of “Carnival” in honour of the Olympic Games in Brazil this summer, we have over 100 fabulous events in the Big Top and other venues. We are also running a series of competitions, so get your creative juices owing. Steyning Good Neighbours have kindly offered to help with transport to events, phone 01903 816181 to make a booking.

May Fairs - FlagLindfield Summer Fun

  • Village Run, Monday 30th May, 9:00am
  • Village Day, Saturday 4th June, 12:45-4:30pm

Runners are invited to book their place for the renowned Lindfield Village Run. The route goes cross-country and runners see some beautiful Sussex views, while raising money for Lindfield’s King Edward Hall. The following Saturday, why not go along to Village Day?
