Marvellous Mid Sussex

Marvellous Mid Sussex

…And beyond! We are so proud to distribute Sussex Living Magazine in Mid Sussex, and now Lewes and Worthing too. Read on to find out about this wonderful area of the country.

Sussex Living Magazine distributes 17,000 copies through the Mid Sussex area every month of the year, and now we are reaching even further, into Lewes and Worthing as well. This is a fantastic part of the country to be based in, and is well worth celebrating! West Sussex covers an area of 768 square miles and stretches from Chichester, though Horsham, Crawley and right over to Haywards Heath and East Grinstead. On the south side it covers Arun, Worthing and Adur and reaches up to Burgess Hill.

In 2013 it was estimated the population of West Sussex was 806,900, rising to 836,250 in 2015 and projected for the year 2024 at over 901,000! Being such a rural part of the country, it is unsurprising that an estimated 42% of people and more than half of all businesses are located in rural areas. The majority of the remaining population reside in the major towns of Chichester, Worthing, Crawley and Horsham.

After the recent crash there has thankfully been a return to growth in the economy and business sector, and even better news for some Sussex companies is that there are loans on offer such as funding for rural businesses, a £30 million boost for start up loans, a reduction in business rates for many companies and many free workshops and business events happening. It is well worth checking out the Business Associations in your area to see what your local business community is offering.

West Sussex County Council’s core priorities are giving children the best start in life, helping support the local community and giving the elderly more independence. Here at Sussex Living Magazine we pride ourselves in supporting the community and local businesses as much as possible with our sight and sound coverage – come in with us and you can enjoy promotion within our glossy pages, through our busy social media and across the airwaves too!

Our magazine wouldn’t be what it is without the support of all our advertisers, readers, contributors and distribution points, so many thanks to each and every one of you. We do hope you continue to enjoy engaging with us, and hope to see you all in 2017, when we have many exciting features coming up, as well as all your favourite regulars.
