Music Lovers Are In For A Treat From Coro Nuovo In March

Leading Sussex choir Coro Nuovo will perform Mozart’s Requiem by candlelight at 3 venues locally with Andrew Rees, international tenor as conductor. Anyone who has enjoyed watching the film “Amadeus” will be familiar with this masterpiece.

The first performance will be at St Peter’s Church, Chailey on Sunday 11th March at 7.30 pm and will consist of soloists from within the choir. The first half will feature a performance from the new Coro Nuovo Youth Choir, which is made up of singers aged between 11 and 17 from local schools.

The second performance will be on Saturday 17th March at St Mary’s Church, Balcombe at 7.15 pm featuring international soloists led by operatic tenor Jeff Lloyd-Roberts, a regular performer at Covent Garden and Glyndebourne. The concert will also feature the Coro Nuovo Young Musician 2017, Gideon Brooks playing the trumpet. We expect tickets to sell very quickly for this concert.

The final performance will be on Sunday 18th March at All Saints Church, Highbrook at 7.15 pm. Soloists will again feature Jeff Lloyd Roberts (tenor) and Coro Nuovo soloists.
