New Chairman Appointed For Horder Healthcare
Health charity bids a fond farewell to chairman
Horder Healthcare Chairman Dr Susan Grieve has retired from the charity after nine years. Sue, a scientist and lawyer, first joined the Board of Horder Healthcare in 2010. She became Chairman of the Audit Committee in 2011 before being elected as Chairman of the Board in January 2014.
During Sue’s time as Chairman, the charity has seen The Horder Centre in Crowborough consolidate its reputation as a Centre of Excellence for orthopaedic care. It expanded further in 2015 with the acquisition of The McIndoe Centre in East Grinstead, which specialises in plastic, reconstructive, ophthalmic and maxillofacial surgery.
Steven Dance, who has been a trustee of Horder Healthcare since September 2016, has been appointed as the charity’s new Chairman. He said: “On behalf of the trustees of Horder Healthcare I would like to thank Sue for her hard work and commitment to the charity, both as a trustee and as Chairman. It is an honour for me to take on the role and serve as Chairman of Horder Healthcare. I have greatly enjoyed my time as trustee and Non-Executive Director in our organisation of so many talented and committed staff. I am keen to continue the charity’s objective to advance health and provide outstanding medical and surgical outcomes from our hospitals and clinics in the South East of England. I look forward to working with all our stakeholders to achieve further success together in the years to come.”
