The Observatory Science Centre - Celebrating 25 Years Of Spectacular Science

The Observatory Science Centre – Celebrating 25 Years Of Spectacular Science

Half – Term – Monday 17th to Sunday 23rd February

Daily 10am – 5pm

Last admission 3pm

Holiday fun for children aged 6-8 years and 9-11 years. In addition to our daily activities, during the local school holidays we also offer fantastic workshops for children which are a great way to have fun and learn at the same time. They are fully interactive; children are totally immersed in carrying out experiments or making and creating (depending on the type of workshop). Many of the workshops involve an element of ‘Make and Take’ projects when the children are able to take what they have made home.

Specific workshops are aimed at age groups 6-8 years and 9-11 years. Please check the intended age group of your chosen workshop.

We cannot accept children who are younger than the intended age and we would be very grateful if you respect this policy

During the half term school holidays, in addition to the interactive hands-on exhibits, daily telescope tours and science shows, the following children’ s workshops will also be taking place:

Tuesday 18th February: ‘Fun with Chemistry’ (6-8 years)

Wednesday 19th February: ‘Discover Chemistry’ (9-11 years)

Thursday 20th February: ‘Explore the Moon Twilight’ * (9-11 years)
