Fontwell Park have gone all out this year and are providing a course record number of pop up bars. Vinny Freulon, Fontwell Park’s new Catering Manager said: “Looking at the feedback from last year, we really wanted to increase both the number of bars, and the number of German beers on offer, because this is what Oktoberfest is all about”.
As well as all the usual beer on site, they will also be selling:
- Lifemans (Fruit Beer, Very popular at Oktoberfest)
- Grimbergen (A very popular Belgium beer in Germany)
- German Pale Ale
- Erdinger Alcohol Free
In addition to the above German beers, there will also be a mystery German beer on offer named “The Tipsy Tipster” as voted for on Facebook. The Tipsy Tipster came out on top in the “Name the beer” public vote where we saw some stiff competition from “Beery McBeer Face” and “Wunderbier”
When asked about the Facebook competition, Marketing Manager Max Roberts said: “This competition combined German beer, with having fun which is what Oktoberfest is all about! We had hundreds of entries in the competition, with plenty of weird and wonderful names, however The Tipsy Tipster won the public vote so will be available to buy on the day.”
