The charity is looking for volunteers to help with the following areas:

• A volunteer who will collate press and broadcast cuttings and write the daily news update.Cats Protection 1

“We’re looking for people with good organisational and communication skills who will enjoy working in a busy, open-plan office,” said media assistant Ellie Kenrick. “The roles are varied and we hope the right people will find them interesting. Days are flexible and of course we’ll work around your availability. According to the charity, the right candidate will have the opportunity to improve administration skills while getting a good introduction to media work. The office is accessible to all and out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.Cats Protection 4

Cats Protection’s national media office handles requests to and from TV, radio, magazines, newspapers and websites. It also supports the charity’s large network of branches and centres by providing advice and guidance. “We get a lot of satisfaction from raising the profile of unwanted cats so we’d love to hear from you if you would be interested in joining a friendly team committed to a worthwhile cause,” said Ellie.

Those interested in applying are invited to send their CV, along with a covering letter, to media.office@cats.org.uk by 9 April 2015.
