The Bluebell Railway will be celebrating Valentines Day in two very special ways for 2015
Wealden Rambler Afternoon Tea
Enjoy a full afternoon tea on board the Wealden Rambler on Saturday 14th February.
Afternoon tea includes a choice of luxury teas, a selection of delicious sandwiches followed by mouth-watering cakes, tarts, scones, meringues and shortbread.
Travel is on board our three First Class Lounge Cars “Ashdown”, “Chelwood” or “Balcombe”.
First Class train fare plus afternoon tea is £44.00 per person.
Golden Arrow Evening Pullman 14th February
A delicious three course meal will be cooked and served on board the Golden Arrow Pullman train after it departs Sheffield Park at 7.30pm.
There will be a choice of three main courses carefully selected and prepared by our Head Chef Vince Rickwood and travel will be in either Pullman Cars “Christine” or “Fingall” both built in the 1920’s.
Joining the Valentines special is also Coach 1336. Built by the Southern Railway in 1933 this type of carriage could be found operating on prestigious services such as the “Bournemouth Limited” or express trains from London Waterloo to Exeter and Weymouth. These open saloon carriages would be attached to the Southern Railway kitchen car providing up to 56 seats in three saloons. Two saloons seat 16 on tables of four with the center saloon seating 24.
For Valentines weekend tables are available for couples enjoying a romantic meal in a traditional art deco surrounds of the 1930’s.
First Class Pullman travel and the three course meal is £76.00 per person.
